Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate to be aired on 11 a.m. starting May 6

“Satyamev Jayate” is Aamir Khan’s first television project and the star says that the reality show will create history by becoming the first ever programme to go live simultaneously on a private channel and national broadcaster DD1.

“This is for the first time in the Indian history that a show will also be showcased simultaneously on national television channel DD1. Besides, the show will be dubbed in four southern languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. This show is being launched on a large scale,” Aamir told reporters at the launch of the show’s promo song.

His television debut ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will be aired at the 11 am Sunday morning slot when shows like Mahabharat and Ramayana were telecast.

Aamir Khan launched the music video of the title track of his TV show Satyamev Jayate today in Mumbai. However, beyond that he still wants to keep everything about the show under wraps. There is a huge suspense that shrouds the entire show. Hence no knows the format or the kind of show it is.

But Aamir did share a few details. He revealed that the show will be aired on Sunday morning slot of 11 a.m. starting May 6. This is the same time slot where TV serial like Mahabharat and Ramayana became super hits. The show will be only for 13 episodes.

The title Satyamev Jayate cannot be registered as it belongs to the country, yet the team decided to go with it. Each episode will have a special song. All these songs are composed by Ram Sampat and shot by Ram Madhvani. Prasoon Joshi has written the lyrics.

Finally Aamir Khan claims that this is India’s first people show. We are waiting with bated breath.
