Bidaai gets an extension

Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai is going from strength to strength, and has now also got an extension on its contract from the channel for another year. Producer Rajan Shahi tells us, “It is every channel’s policy to make a contract for a year and then they renew it. We have got an extension and are happy about it. Bidaai has had many high points; it was the first daily soap to become an hour-long and then it started airing seven days a week.” He adds, ‘I am thankful to Star for trusting me and giving me this opportunity. It is difficult for my unit and actors, as they are all working over-time, but I believe that when you are pushed to your limits you give your best.”

We hear that at the end of the year, Bidaai might go off air and will be replaced by another show from the same production house. But Rajan says, “I am not working on any new show right now. Since Bidaai has got an extension, its future will be depending on the feedback we will get by the end of next year.”

Bidaai has been running on Star Plus for two years now, bagging high TRP ratings
