Sacked without notice!

Ajay Gehi will think twice before working with Shreya Creations again. The actor’s terribly upset about his track being ruthlessly chopped off from Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, without his knowledge. Apparently Ajay was promised a significant role, which later went to Cezzane Khan. If this was not all, the production house didn’t bother to pay Ajay his dues. Driven to the edge, Ajay requested the channel to bail him out of the mess.

Ajay Gehi says, “I had to really wrestle with the production house to give me my dues. The producers should have told me about terminating my track 20 days in advance, according to the contract, and given me a notice before terminating my character. When I tried to claim my money but they refused me saying that since I had not worked for that month, I wouldn’t be paid for it. I also read about Cezzane Khan joining the show and the character sketch was the same as mine, except for the difference in our professions.”

An agitated Ajay adds, “I was ready to go to court. Then I decided to seek help from the channel people, who intervened and settled the issue for me. The production house was initially avoiding my calls but were forced to the amount later. I wonder why they hired me in the first place!”

However, Misha Gautam, the producer of the show, says, “We had a number of problems with Ajay. We always pay all our artistes on time. We had to wind up Ajay’s track because we felt that there was nothing substantial left in his character. The TRPs were dipping. Besides, Mansi Salvi, who was cast opposite Ajay, did not want to play a negative character, so we had to wind up Ajay’s track. Ajay wanted us to stretch his character for three more months but we couldn’t. Then we decided to pay half of what Ajay had been demanding.”
