The buzz is that Manav, who played business tycoon Karan Bali in Star One’s Betiyaan Aapni Ya Parayaa Dhan, has hired an agent to get into South Indian films. His friends from Bollywood have been suggesting his name for cameo roles in Hindi films. Manav has already auditioned for a couple of films but nothing seems to have worked in his favour. The actor has been complimented on his looks and supposedly has a striking resemblance to one of the popular South Indian actors.
Manav, who prefers not to discuss about his new projects, says, “I was not really keen on doing films. But if something interesting comes my way I will certainly do it. My friends have been encouraging me to try my luck in Bollywood and I have auditioned for a few films as well.”
The actor is being extremely choosy about taking up work on television. Manav has wrapped up Betiyaan… and is set to do a cameo in Saarrthi. Adds Manav, “I am waiting for the television industry to grow. I am hoping there will be better work as there are loads of new channels coming up these days. Next, I will be doing a cameo in Saarrthi, where I’ll play a positive character, who will add a twist to the tale.”
