Ketki Dave, popularly known as Daksha Virani from Kyunki, is doing an item number in a Gujarati play Ek Chatur Nar. The director of the comedy play is her husband Rasik Dave and it has completed 24 shows in the last month.
Speaking about her new role as a dancer, Ketki says, “I am playing a character called Anjali and have performed two dances for the play – one is an item number and other a dream sequence me.â€
“Believe it or not I have danced on crazy kiya re from Dhoom 2. My daughter Riddhi, who knows western dance, has choreographed it.â€
And what about the other one? “Well, in that me and Rasik have danced on the golden oldie chunari sambhal gori udi chali jaye re from the film Baharon Ke Sapne. If you rememeber, this is actually the one we had performed during the Nach Baliye 2 wild card round.â€
“We had choreographed it ourselves,†Ketki says proudly.
If she got a chance to perform on a fast number in Kyunki, will she do it? “My character in Kyunki (Daksha) is crazy for films. She will definitely love to do it,†laughs Ketki.
Nach Baliye, Ketki and Rasik Dave seem to be telling each other.
